Pensiero Radicale Esibito - About
Focus and Scope
The editorial series Exhibited Radical Thought. Exhibitions of Architecture brings together research on exhibitions that have proposed a revision of both the criteria of architectural and design practice and the very concept of the exhibition, in relation to cultural, social, political, and gender-related changes.
The volumes, organized by thematic or chronological areas, offer investigations into the ways in which architecture and design exhibitions have positioned themselves as places for discussion or development of experimental projects; how they have conveyed new ideas of the city, of habitat, of the domestic interior, and of collectivity; how they have presented to various types of audiences the cultural principles of architectural design; how they have challenged traditional exhibition formats through immersive and multidisciplinary experiences; how they have addressed urgent issues such as social and environmental sustainability, the circular economy, and the defense of rights.
Radical Thought refers to a process carried out by architects, artists, critics, and curators who sought to reflect on the discipline of architecture with the urgency of reconsidering its creative foundations and operative aims.
